The Green River Distillery is proud to be a member of the Kentucky Distillers’ Association. Founded in 1880, the KDA’s diverse membership produces 90 percent of the world’s bourbon, from legendary global brands to emerging micro distilleries.

SUSTAINABILITY

The Green River Distillery is recognized by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture as a member of the Kentucky Proud™ program. This designation means that the major ingredients in the bourbon we produce in Owensboro, come from Kentucky. In addition to utilizing Kentucky-grown corn, we provide—free of charge—spent stillage to local farmers. Stillage makes an excellent cattle feed that can be used to supplement a farmer’s feed ration, expand cattle herd, or supplement pasture land.

LOCAL INGREDIENTS

We are proud to support Kentucky Corn Growers & over 5000 farms in Kentucky by exclusively featuring 100% locally grown Kentucky corn in our Bourbon mash bills and by highlighting the story of the Kentucky heritage families and celebrating their achievements.
